2026 Yellow-Bohai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Investment Conference Held in Yantai; Kunyu Capital Makes Debut

On September 16–17, the 2026 Yellow-Bohai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Investment Conference, hosted by Yantai Financial Group, was held in Yantai. At the conference, Kunyu Capital was unveiled, providing stronger platform support for the deep integration of capital operations and industrial empowerment.
With the theme "Stirring and Symbiosis: Building a New Ecosystem for High-Quality Development of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Investment," the conference featured a closed-door meeting, a main conference, an industrial capital exchange meeting, and four parallel sub-forums. The main conference included keynote speeches, roundtable dialogues, the unveiling of a capital platform, and the release of results. It focused on cutting-edge topics such as cultivating long-term capital and patient capital, building a regional venture capital ecosystem, shaping capital brands, the marine robotics track, and a new AI industry ecosystem, jointly exploring new opportunities for venture capital development in northern China.
As the first prefecture-level city in northern China with a GDP exceeding 1 trillion RMB and one of the "three core drivers" of Shandong, Yantai boasts a solid industrial foundation, surging innovation vitality, and an increasingly improved capital ecosystem. The city's total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size exceeded 1.32 trillion RMB . It has developed industrial clusters: nonferrous and precious metals at the 300 billion RMB level; green petrochemicals at the 200 billion RMB level; and four 100 billion-level RMB industrial clusters in high-end equipment manufacturing, food, electronic information, and automobiles. It has gathered more than 4,800 high-quality innovative enterprises at or above the provincial level, more than 2,400 high-tech enterprises, and 66 listed companies at home and abroad. It has established a diversified full-life-cycle fund matrix, empowering both capital and enterprises.
At the conference, Yantai's core local capital platform, Kunyu Capital, was unveiled. Kunyu Capital has built a 100 billion-level RMB fund matrix covering "angel + venture capital + growth + M&A + continuation," with 57 fund investments and a total scale of 126 billion RMB. Among them, 55 funds are actively managed, with a total scale of 50 billion RMB ; it has invested in 660 projects with an investment amount of 26 billion RMB , helping 46 enterprises enter the capital market. This unveiling is an important practice in implementing the Yantai Municipal Government's "Six Ones" fund management work arrangements, strengthening the local core capital platform, and building a core regional venture capital carrier. It also provides stronger platform support for promoting the deep integration of capital operations and industrial empowerment.
A batch of fund cooperation and industrial projects were signed and implemented, covering fund cooperation, project introduction, industrial coordination, and other aspects, adding patient capital with strong "gold" content to Yantai's scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation. At the same time, the conference released the research results of the Yellow-Bohai Venture Capital High-Quality Development Closed-Door Symposium, presenting a series of consensus and forward-looking recommendations formed during the closed-door discussions, providing an action guide for regional industry-investment integration and innovation ecosystem cultivation.
During the conference, four distinctive parallel sub-forums were held concurrently, with participants including financial institutions, universities, the AI industry, and industry associations. Based on the actual development of industries, each sub-forum pooled wisdom on fund collaborative cooperation, the implementation of blue finance innovation, the cultivation of AI industrial clusters, and the development of a multi-tiered capital market.
