On the morning of August 25, the 2026 "Hundred Universities Students Local Tour" (Yantai Stop) and Yantai Talent Week series events officially commenced. Representatives from the career service departments of over 80 prestigious universities across China, including Tsinghua University and Peking University, 300 master's degree students and 100 doctoral student representatives, award recipients of the 11th China Yantai Global Elite Entrepreneurship Competition, and representatives of outstanding scientific and technological leading talents and innovation teams gathered on the shore of the Yellow Sea to join this city-talent celebration.

At the launching ceremony, 10 outstanding university student representatives were appointed as "Yantai City Youth Promotion Ambassadors." Six universities were awarded "Yantai Talent Attraction Workstations." Award recipients of the 11th China Yantai Global Elite Entrepreneurship Competition, outstanding scientific and technological leading talents, and innovation teams took the stage to receive their honors.
The event established a platform for a two-way interaction between talent and the city. Following the launch ceremony, 53 key local employers in Yantai offered over 2,800 high-quality job openings at a dedicated job fair, which was concurrently held with the Domestic and International Doctoral (Postdoctoral) Yantai Exchange Meeting. The 300 master's and 100 doctoral students will be divided into six industrial tour routes — petrochemical and chemical new materials, automotive and marine engineering, clean energy, biomedicine, optoelectronics and magnetic materials, and aerospace — to conduct on-site visits and exchanges at key enterprises and parks such as Wanhua Chemical, CIMC Raffles, and Dongfang Spaceport for on-site exchanges.
As a central city in the Bohai Rim region and a trillion-yuan manufacturing powerhouse, Yantai boasts complete industrial categories, a robust industrial foundation, and abundant innovation platforms, offering a vast stage for innovation and entrepreneurship for young people. As a nationally renowned historical and cultural city, home to the legendary "Fairyland on Earth" Penglai Pavilion, and a world-renowned "International Grape and Wine City," Yantai features beautiful landscapes of mountains, seas, islands, and bays, with a superior ecological environment. Its air quality consistently meets national Grade II standards. The city has been awarded the UN Habitat Scroll of Honor and has consecutively won the title of "National Civilized City" for seven consecutive terms, making it an ideal city for young talents to pursue their dreams and enjoy a high quality of life. Yantai demonstrates immense sincerity in talent cultivation, with a comprehensive "living, working, innovating, and enjoying" talent ecosystem that provides thoughtful and practical support ranging from living and housing subsidies to employment assistance and entrepreneurial empowerment.
This event serves as both an important opportunity to deepen university-city cooperation and a vivid practice of promoting industry-talent integration. Outstanding talents from all walks of life will experience first-hand Yantai's industrial vitality and urban warmth, thereby choosing Yantai and putting down roots here, jointly embarking on a brighter future.
