On August 2, the Yantai Media·Zhongchuang Film and Television Base (Phase I) was officially completed and launched, with simultaneous industry platform unveilings and a series of strategic cooperation agreements signed. This marks a milestone achievement in Yantai Media Group's deep engagement in the film and television industry and signals a new stage in Yantai's cultural-tourism integration initiative and a major step forward in the high-quality development of its film and television sector.

The Yantai Media·Zhongchuang Film and Television Base is jointly developed and operated by Yantai Media Group and Zhongchuang Yunguli Real Estate, with a planned total investment of RMB 150 million and planned construction area exceeding 15,000 square meters. The project has so far completed RMB 50 million in Phase I investment, delivering 5,000 square meters of space already in use. It has taken shape as a comprehensive industrial park integrating modern sound stages, an AI film production center, a micro-short-drama review station, and a film and TV talent training base. It provides micro-short-drama crews and film/TV institutions from across the country with full-chain, high-quality, one-stop services ranging from script filing, location sourcing, and on-site shooting, to AI creative empowerment, post-production visual effects, compliance review, and online distribution.

At the city-wide Cultural Tourism Industry High-Quality Development Conference held earlier, Yantai made a top-level strategic decision to build itself into a "Film City." Under the three-year development targets set, the city aims to foster 10 micro-short drama production organizations, establish 20 popular film and television check-in locations, and produce 300 outstanding audiovisual works rich in Yantai's local cultural elements.

The launch of this base serves as the core vehicle for implementing the three-year action plan. It not only attracts national film and television teams, leading media companies, and cultural and creative investment entities to settle and thrive in Yantai, but also facilitates the in-depth exploration of Yantai's mountain and sea resources to incubate distinctive local audiovisual intellectual properties. This will help transform on-screen visibility into offline cultural tourism consumption, achieving the scompounding effect of "one drama energizing a region's tourism, one base activating a city's cultural creativity." Meanwhile, leveraging school-enterprise and government-enterprise collaboration platforms, the base will cultivate versatile film and TV professionals and accelerate the output of high-quality Yantai-themed film and TV works.

To promote the systematic implementation of the industry, multiple cooperation agreements and functional platforms were established during the ceremony. The Shandong (Yantai) Micro-Short Drama Review Station and AI Film and Television Service Station were simultaneously launched, streamlining the key content review process and enabling efficient digital production, thus forming an industry closed loop of "full-domain service + technology empowerment + compliance review." A university-industry training base was also established in partnership with Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, creating a school-enterprise collaborative talent development platform and an integrated film and television ecosystem that organically combines content production, technological innovation, talent cultivation, and market expansion in a mutually reinforcing cycle.

Looking ahead, Yantai Media Group will leverage this base as its core pivot to build a "New Highland for China's Northern Network Audiovisual Industry" with a full range of business formats, complete industry chains, and distinctive features, contributing media strength to the cultivation and promotion of Yantai's "Film City" city brand.
