From July 28 to August 2, the 2026 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week was held in Guiyang, Guizhou. Shandong City Service Institute attended the event, delivered a keynote speech at the "China-ASEAN University Presidents Roundtable Dialogue," took part in the strategic cooperation signing ceremony for the joint development of international digital educational resources, and hosted the First Meeting of the China-Thailand Specialized Committee of the China-ASEAN Digital Industry-Education Integration Community, along with the experience-sharing and demand-matching session of the China-Thailand Vocational Education International Cooperation Symposium.

The 2026 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the People's Government of Guizhou Province, under the theme "Let Smart Education Better Empower the Building of a Friendly Homeland." During the opening period, 35 key thematic events were concentrated, while 60 regular thematic activities were held throughout the year both domestically and in ASEAN countries including Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia. It is the most representative intergovernmental educational cooperation platform between China and ASEAN.
During the forum, the "University Presidents Roundtable Dialogue" focused on the theme "Building a New Ecosystem for Long-term Coordinated Development of China-ASEAN Industry-Education Integration with Digital Resources as the Bond." Shandong City Service Institute delivered a featured presentation covering aspects such as digital resource empowerment, competition platform development, industry-education integration going global, and tiered internationalization planning. It shared practical outcomes including the development of digital course packages for Lu cuisine techniques, and participated in the strategic cooperation signing ceremony for co-building international digital educational resources.
The following day, the First Meeting of the China-Thailand Specialized Committee of the China-ASEAN Digital Industry-Education Integration Community and the China-Thailand Vocational Education International Cooperation Symposium was held, bringing together leaders from 18 Chinese and Thai vocational colleges. Shandong City Service Institute chaired the experience-sharing and demand-matching session, where presidents from nine Chinese and Thai vocational colleges engaged in extensive exchanges on topics such as joint program development, school-enterprise collaboration, and cross-border talent cultivation, generating numerous practical and feasible cooperation ideas that laid a solid foundation for ongoing inter-institutional exchanges and precise industry-education synergy.
Going forward, Shandong City Service Institute will build on the consensus reached during this Exchange Week. Leveraging its Chinese and Western culinary program clusters as a distinctive flagship for vocational education going global, the college will continue to deepen practical cooperation with ASEAN institutions. Using the China-ASEAN Digital Industry-Education Integration Community as a platform, it will accelerate the development of standardized curriculum resources for Chinese and Western culinary techniques, establish a "bringing in + going out" two-way teacher training system, collaborate with enterprises to promote the integrated export of "equipment + curriculum + standards," and establish regular mechanisms for faculty-student study tours and mutual learning. Through overseas teaching sites such as the Jingshi Academy and "Ban-Mo College," it will expand two-way exchange channels for teachers and students, and adhere to a "small but beautiful, specialized yet refined" differentiated path to steadily advance the practical implementation of vocational education going global.
