Recently, the 2025 National Science and Technology Awards Ceremony was held grandly at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The project "Independent R&D and Industrialization of Large-Scale Deep-Sea Aquaculture Equipment," led by Yantai CIMC Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CIMC Raffles Offshore Holdings, was awarded the second-class National Science and Technology Progress Award. This marks the first time a national-level science and technology progress award has been granted in China's deep-sea aquaculture equipment sector, and represents the third time that CIMC Raffles Offshore Holdings has received this prestigious national honor, demonstrating that the company's independent innovation capabilities in high-end marine equipment have reached a top-tier national level.

After more than a decade of collaborative R&D, the award-winning project overcame key technologies in safety design under extreme sea conditions, intelligent construction, and large-scale operation of deep-sea aquaculture equipment. These technologies have been successfully applied to the "Jinghai" series of intelligent deep-sea aquaculture cages, establishing a benchmark deep-sea marine ranch in China and forming a replicable and scalable "China Solution" for industrialized deep-sea aquaculture, significantly enhancing China's independent innovation capabilities in high-end marine equipment.
