The competition brought together 148 workers from six provinces and 18 cities across the country to compete on the same stage. Yantai's contestants fought tenaciously and strived for excellence, achieving a dual harvest of individual breakthroughs and team honors. They fully demonstrated the high-spirited attitude and consummate professional skills of young welders, and also highlighted the achievements of Yantai City's in-depth promotion of the reform of industrial workforce construction and systematic cultivation of highly skilled talents.
Since last year, the Yantai Federation of Trade Unions has closely focused on the 16 key industrial chains, innovated in labor-union-led skills competitions, and released 19 municipal-level competition projects, including an aerospace vocational skills competition. It has hosted 33 national-level and provincial-level competitions such as the National CNC Milling Vocational Skills Competition, driving the organization of over a thousand skills competitions across points, lines, and planes. As a result, 104 person-times have won provincial first prizes, 155 people have captured national awards, and four have won national gold medals.
