State Grid Yantai Power Supply Company Sees Two Projects Selected among Inaugural "Top Ten Energy-Saving and Carbon Reduction Cases" on Green State Grid Platform

Recently, the 13th China Energy Conservation Association Energy Conservation and Low-Carbon Development Conference was held in Beijing. In the meantime, the inaugural "Top Ten Energy-Saving and Carbon Reduction Cases" jointly solicited by the State Grid Customer Service Center and the China Energy Conservation Association were officially released. Two energy-saving cases led by State Grid Yantai Power Supply Company—"High-Quality Development Practices for Green Factories Under the 'Dual Carbon' Background" and "Low-Carbon Industrial Park Solution for Huayusai science and technology innovation Yantai Base"—were successfully selected, ranking among the top within the State Grid system.

Since its launch, this "Top Ten Cases" solicitation has received an enthusiastic response from energy industry enterprises. The submitted cases covered 13 provincial-level regions across the country, involving multiple sectors such as industrial parks, ports, public institutions, industry, and agriculture, as well as cutting-edge technologies like electricity-carbon synergy and integrated source-grid-load-storage systems. After undergoing rigorous procedures—including formal review, expert evaluation, on-site verification, and public voting—with over 210,000 users participating—the "Top Ten Cases" were ultimately selected.
It is reported that the solicitation and release of these "Top Ten Cases" represent another innovative practice by the Green State Grid platform, which serves as the primary entry point for energy efficiency services of State Grid Corporation of China. The initiative aims to connect upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain with end-users through public service platforms, thereby better facilitating the digital and intelligent transformation of the energy efficiency service industry.
In 2025, State Grid Yantai Power Supply Company established a professional energy efficiency service team to conduct energy efficiency diagnostic analyses for 109 industrial enterprises in the city. During specialized energy efficiency diagnostics and electricity optimization services for companies such as Saikeli (Yantai) Automotive Mold Technology Application Co., Ltd. and Valiant Co., Ltd., the team conducted in-depth research and tailored solutions—including adjusting energy structures, replacing energy-saving equipment, and optimizing operational capacity—based on industry conditions. This effort established a comprehensive diagnostic system covering multiple dimensions such as energy management, energy-saving retrofits, electricity efficiency, general energy systems, and resource utilization.
Through the implementation of multi-dimensional energy efficiency diagnostics and targeted energy-saving retrofit plans, both enterprises have seen significant improvements in energy management, electricity efficiency, and system operational efficiency, with stable and reliable energy-saving outcomes. Valiant has completed the replacement of outdated, high-energy-consuming electromechanical equipment, increasing the proportion of electricity consumption during off-peak hours from 15% to 20%. Saikeli's photovoltaic power generation has reached 2.68 million kWh annually, with the industrial park saving approximately 1.33 million yuan in energy costs per year. The solar streetlight retrofit has reduced electricity expenses by about 100,000 yuan annually and cut standard coal consumption by approximately 480 tons per year, effectively lowering corporate energy costs and enhancing green, low-carbon development capabilities.
In the future, State Grid Yantai Power Supply Company will deepen innovative practices on the Green State Grid platform, actively explore new models for energy efficiency services, strengthen communication and exchanges with industry associations, encourage more enterprises to participate in energy efficiency improvement initiatives, leverage the exemplary value and industrial ripple effects of these cases, and actively promote the green, low-carbon transition. The company aims to contribute the "Yantai Model" to enhancing the quality and efficiency of energy-saving and carbon reduction services for the society.
