2025 Yantai International Industrial Cooperation (Shanghai) Exchange Event Concluded Successfully

On November 4, 2025, during the holding of the China International Import Expo, 2025 Yantai International Industrial Cooperation (Shanghai) Exchange Event 2025 successfully held. Attendees included Zhang Mingkang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee, Mayor of Yantai；Li Jintao, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee, Vice mayor of Yantai；Zhao Xiaofeng, Secretary General of the Yantai Municipal People's Government. During the event, Wang Yifeng, China President of Emerson; and Chu Beiping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Shanghai Maritime University, delivered addresses. Promotional presentations were made by the Huangbohai New Area, Zhifu District, Haiyang City, and Yantai Transportation Group. More than 120 participants attended the event, including senior representatives from Fortune Global 500 companies, global industry leaders, international business associations, top-tier domestic enterprises, renowned financial investment institutions, and institutions of higher learning.

Zhang Mingkang highlighted Yantai's development strengths and cooperation opportunities. He pointed out that Yantai and Shanghai share a profound history of cooperation. Held under the theme "Smart Technology Leads High-End Development, Green Innovation Creates the Future," this event has established a platform for enhancing industrial collaboration between the two cities while presenting more Yantai opportunities for deepening cooperation with multinational corporations. Currently, Yantai is thoroughly studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Rooted in a spirit of reform and opening-up, the city is now pivoting towards establishing itself as a more competitive international open gateway. Bolstered by a robust real economy, Yantai is speeding up the establishment of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as its backbone. Guided by a commitment to sound ecology, Yantai is striving to build itself into a model city for green, low-carbon, and high-quality development. He sincerely invited entrepreneurs to visit Yantai, invest in Yantai, explore boundless business opportunities, create infinite possibilities, and jointly paint a new picture of mutually beneficial cooperation for the ages.

The event featured substantial content and yielded fruitful outcomes. During a roundtable dialogue, business representatives enthusiastically shared their experiences and prospects for cooperation with Yantai. Thirteen cooperation projects with a total investment of 3.99 billion yuan were signed collectively on site. Prior to the event, municipal leaders visited companies including Air Liquide (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and SAIC Motor, met with some of the guests participating in the exchange, and toured the exhibition showcasing Yantai's new quality productive forces, Yantai high-quality products, and Yantai time-honored local brands.
