On October 16, 2025, the 10th China International Copyright Expo kicked off in Qingdao. Over 10 representative enterprises from Yantai showcased their presence at the Shandong Pavilion, highlighting Yantai's practice in "Empowering the Fairyland Coast through Copyright."

Located in the core area of the Shandong Exhibition Hall, the Yantai International Cultural Copyright Trading Center has attracted numerous professional visitors. As China's first international cultural copyright trading platform targeting China, Japan, and South Korea, the center leverages the massive traffic resources of Sina Animation to innovatively provide end-to-end services covering "Content Incubation - Copyright Trading - IP Commercialization - International Promotion," striving to build an international copyright trading hub.

"Apple festivals are held year after year, showcasing the new charm of the Fruit Capital..." In front of the Shandong exhibition hall, performers from the Qixia Lü Opera Troupe, dressed in traditional costumes, presented Jiaodong Drum Singing "In Praise of Qixia." The cheerful vocals, accompanied by instruments such as the storytelling drum and sanxian, demonstrated the innovative achievements of integrating "intangible cultural heritage with copyright." Meanwhile, the Yangge dance performance team from the Haiyang Peking Opera Troupe danced joyfully to the resounding beats of gongs and drums, radiating the enthusiasm of the people of Yantai and embodying the vibrant spirit of the Chinese people in the new era.

At the exhibition stand of the "Return of the Eight Immortals" series of cultural and creative products, the featured items recreated the fantastical scene of the "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea." "As a native of Yantai, I hope to share the culture of the Eight Immortals to the world and promote Chinese culture globally," said the director of Hengyu Culture Company. By deeply exploring the local cultural of the Eight Immortals and employing innovative techniques, the company has created IP characters of the Eight Immortals that align with modern aesthetics, transforming their stories into a cultural symbol that transcends national boundaries. In the Du's Woodworking cultural and creative section, accompanied by a crisp "click," a complete Luban Lock was assembled. A young visitor marveled, "It's amazing! Without a drop of glue or a single nail, the cube formed by six wooden pieces fits together perfectly—no matter how you pull, it won’t come apart."

At this edition of the copyright expo, Yantai has innovated the form of copyright experience by leveraging national intangible cultural heritage. Through interactive performances and hands-on activities, the city has allowed visitors to "immersively" appreciate the charm of folk art and copyright in a setting of engagement and hands-on participation.

In recent years, Yantai has established an integrated four-pillar framework of "registration-protection-utilization-management" to strengthen its copyright-related social services and provide a powerful driving force for high-quality economic and social development across the municipality. This system is built on digital registration and confirmation of rights to solidify the foundation for innovation, reinforced by cross-departmental joint enforcement to enhance protection effectiveness, energized through data asset trading to activate commercialization potential, and refined via full-chain services to optimize the management ecosystem.
