Amid drumbeats and music, the stargazing campsite in this lush green village of Qijia Town, Longkou became the venue for "Yantai Red Tourism Routes, Showcases Red Culture & Key Villages Tourism Resources" ceremony. The event was jointly hosted by the Yantai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Social Organization Association of Yantai Civil Affairs Bureau, and the Yantai Association for the Promotion of Development in Old Revolutionary Areas. It was organized by the Longkou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Longkou Association for the Promotion of Development in Old Revolutionary Areas, the People's Governments of Qijia Town and Shiliang Town in Longkou, as well as the Village Committees of Changlunzhuang Village and Fengyidian Village. Co-organizers included the Yantai Public Service Center for Culture and Tourism, the Yantai Museum, the Yantai Travel Agency Association, and the Yantai Tour Guides Association.

The event opened with the screening of The Sea Embraces All Rivers, a five-minute promotional film showcasing Yantai's coastal landscapes, historical sites and folk culture. The film offered a comprehensive visual tour of Yantai's diverse resources, from its spectacular coastline and ancient streets to lively folk festivals and serene rural scenery, providing attendees with an immersive overview of the city's integrated tourism landscape.

Zhang Cong, Vice President of the Yantai Revolutionary Old Areas Development Promotion Association, emphasized that the event was timed to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan. He highlighted its dual focus: honoring the heroic legacy of revolutionary villages, especially those designated as "Red Culture Villages," and showcasing their contemporary achievements in rural revitalization, cultural-tourism integration, and green development. The initiative aims to transform cultural and ecological resources into tourism assets, enrich rural tourism and experiential learning programs, and advance the development of red cultural villages.

Jiang Lichun, Deputy Secretary of the Longkou Municipal Committee, extended a warm welcome to participants and outlined Longkou's proactive efforts and notable progress in red tourism. He pledged to strengthen collaboration with various stakeholders to promote high-quality growth in the red tourism sector and contribute to Yantai's cultural and tourism development.
A presentation followed, introducing newly released red tourism routes that link revolutionary sites, characteristic villages, and natural attractions across Yantai. Detailed resource profiles of key villages were also shared.

Subsequently, a video titled Red Culture Mobile Brigade: I Speak for Revolutionary Old Area Villages was screened, featuring brigade members documenting rural revitalization and narrating local red stories with vivid imagery and compelling storytelling.

The Longkou Bureau of Culture and Tourism further promoted the city's red tourism resources, covering historical culture, natural scenery, and both classic and emerging attractions.

In a symbolic gesture, the Yantai Museum presented video USB drives containing the brigade's recordings to 23 villages, underscoring the role of cultural inheritance.

A significant step in collaboration was taken as six Yantai-based travel agencies signed agreements with two towns and four villages, marking the start of in-depth partnerships in red tourism development and rural industrial growth.

As the host announced the commencement of the "Yantai Red Tourism Routes, Showcases Red Culture & Key Villages Tourism Resources." Leaders and distinguished guests from various sectors jointly unveiled small baskets filled with harvest fruits, draped with red velvet cloth. This gesture symbolizes the prosperous vision of abundant harvests and continuous progress in the villages of Yantai's old revolutionary areas. At this moment, Yantai's online platform for showcasing red tourism resources was officially launched. It will provide tourists with more convenient and comprehensive travel information services, further advancing the digital and intelligent development of red tourism in Yantai.

Following this, a vibrant exhibition of physical products commenced on site.

The meeting also featured on-site observation and visitation activities. Participants conducted field inspections along the Wangwu Reservoir Natural Scenic Area and the red villages—Changlunzhuang Village and Fengyidian Village—experiencing the charm of natural landscapes and red villages, while contemplating ways to further explore and utilize these resources.
The successful hosting of the "Yantai Red Tourism Routes, Showcases Red Culture & Key Villages Tourism Resources." has established an important platform for the development of red tourism in Yantai. Through this exhibition, the red culture, rural customs, folk traditions, and characteristic agricultural products of Yantai's heroic villages have been extensively promoted to the public. This initiative enriches the city's red tourism routes, creates new brands for red-themed study tours, and fully supports the revitalization and development of old revolutionary areas. It aims to ignite enthusiastic attention from all sectors of society toward these revolutionary sites and red villages, widely publicize and promote red tourism routes and heroic villages, further carry out red-themed study tours and support activities, and jointly foster the prosperity of the people in the old revolutionary areas.
