The 10th China Yantai Domestic and Overseas?Elite Entrepreneurship Competition Concluded

On August 12, 2025, the award ceremony of the 10th China·Yantai Domestic and Overseas Elite Entrepreneurship Competition was held at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Yantai Talent Week • Talent Empowerment New-Quality Productivity Development Conference. A total of 106 entrepreneurial projects and enterprises from home and abroad went through fierce competition in the finals. Finally, 30 “Yantai’s Most Promising Entrepreneurial Projects” and 10 “Yantai’s Most Promising Entrepreneurial Enterprises” were singled out.
The competition was sponsored by the Talent Work Leading Group of Yantai Municipal Party Committee and was undertaken by the Office of the Talent Work Leading Group of Yantai Municipal Party Committee and Yantai Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security. Held from April to August, it set up two categories: the Entrepreneurial Enterprise Track and the Entrepreneurial Project Track. Among them, the Entrepreneurial Project Track included 6 industrial sub-tracks of “Intelligent Manufacturing + Artificial Intelligence,” “Aerospace,” “Biopharmaceuticals + Medical Devices,” “New Materials + Low-Altitude Economy,” “Optoelectronics,” “Rural Revitalization + Comprehensive,” and an overseas division. The competition attracted a total of 596 projects and enterprises from around the world to sign up.
This edition of the competition’s award-winning talented projects shows three characteristics. First, they are highly aligned with the development direction of Yantai’s key industries. The award-winning projects cover fields such as biopharmaceuticals, aerospace, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, optoelectronics, low-altitude economy, and rural revitalization, keeping in step with the city’s industrial development. Second, the participants are distinguished by high competence and a broad background. The project team comprises 15 PhD holders, 11 master’s holders, and 6 individuals with senior professional titles. Among them are 2 national-level talents and 3 provincial-level talents. These leaders come from countries including the United States, Australia, Japan, and South Korea, as well as major and medium-sized cities in China, such as Suzhou, Xi’an, Qingdao, Jinan, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhongshan, Hangzhou, and Zhuhai. Third, the projects are of outstanding quality. The award-winning projects are high-quality ones screened through multiple rounds, with a high degree of technological sophistication. Some of them not only feature innovative technologies that break monopolies domestically, but also stand at the leading technological level internationally. With broad market prospects, these projects are set to play a role in extending, supplementing, and strengthening Yantai’s industrial chains.
Next, Yantai will organize its districts and cities, 12 key industrial parks, and financial investment institutions to continue engaging with the award-winning projects. For the cooperation intentions that have been reached, dedicated personnel will be assigned to provide follow-up services, assist in resolving difficulties and problems encountered in cooperation, and actively offer comprehensive support for the implementation and transformation of the projects. These efforts will fully support talents from home and abroad in starting businesses in Yantai.
It is reported that Yantai has hosted ten consecutive editions of the “China·Yantai Domestic and Overseas Elite Entrepreneurship Competition,” using the competition as a key platform for attracting global talent. It has attracted over 3,300 project submissions from around the world, with more than 200 high-quality projects having settled to develop. The total investment generated has reached 2.07 billion yuan.
