Yantai High-tech Zone Successfully Hosts the Energy and Environmental Industry?Development Exchange Conference

Jiaodong Online, August 25, 2025 (Correspondent: Guo Jian) – On August 21, 2025, the Yantai Energy and Environmental Industry Development Exchange Conference, organized by the Investment Promotion Bureau of Yantai High-tech Zone, was successfully held at the Yantai Financial Building. Attendees included representatives from the units such as the United Front Work Department of Yantai Municipal Committee, Yantai Ecological Environment Bureau, Yantai University, Yantai High-tech Zone Management Committee, and Yantai Financial Group, as well as associations like the Yantai Clean Energy Industry Association, key chambers of commerce, leading companies, and financial institutions. Over a hundred participants gathered to discuss industry development directions and explore opportunities for green collaboration in the future.

Dual-Carbon Empowerment: Green Genes Draw a Grand Blueprint

Yu Hongling, Member of the Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yantai High-tech Zone, emphasized in her address that the zone has consistently integrated the “dual carbon” goal into its core development strategy. Focusing on strategic emerging sectors such as biomedicine, aerospace, and marine economy, the zone has successfully established multiple green industrial clusters. Through this conference, enterprises were invited to seize Yantai’s development opportunities and deepen cooperation in sectors such as offshore wind power, energy conservation, environmental protection, and smart grid technology to drive the upgrade of the energy and environment industries.

Galaxy Collaboration: Green Energy Gathers Momentum

During the event, the “Galaxy Wisdom Valley Energy and Environment Industry Alliance” was officially launched. The alliance will focus on policy alignment, technological innovation, and project collaboration to enhance deep integration across the industry chain. Simultaneously, the Galaxy Wisdom Valley • Energy and Environment Industrial Park, a flagship project of the high-tech zone, was unveiled. Positioned as an integrated smart platform for technological innovation, high-quality industry incubation, and high-end talent gathering, the park will prioritize R&D in offshore wind power equipment, applications of energy-saving and environmental technologies, and smart grid development. It seeks to foster deeper collaboration among government, enterprises, and research institutions, accelerating the industry’s transition toward high-end, intelligent, and green development.  

Unveiling of Three Research Centers: Gathering Wisdom for Innovation to Draw a Blueprint

Following the launch ceremony, three research centers of the Shandong Solid Waste Industry Research Center, the University-Enterprise Innovation Center of the School of Environment and Materials Engineering of Yantai University, and the Yantai High-tech Zone AI Smart Urban Governance Research Center were inaugurated. The establishment of these centers provides tangible, specialized platforms for “government-industry-academia-research-application” collaboration, effectively accelerating the transformation of technological achievements from laboratories to production lines and driving industrial upgrading through technological innovation. In the subsequent exchange session, representatives from the Yantai Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Technology Society, School of Environment and Materials Engineering of Yantai University, and Laishan Sub-branch of China Merchants Bank shared practical insights and innovative ideas on topics such as “Energy and Environment Technology Innovation and Green Industrial Transformation,” “Cutting-Edge Technologies from Higher Education,” and “Financial Institution Empowerment Models.”

The success of this event not only consolidated consensus on the development of Yantai’s energy and environment industries but also established an efficient collaboration platform among the management committee, enterprises, and institutions. Moving forward, Yantai High-tech Zone will continue to drive the new engine of green economic transformation, striving to write a new chapter of excellence in the new era.
