The 47 Products Compete for the Title of “Nice Gift of Yantai”
Dazhong Daily, Yantai (Reporter: Yang Xiuping, Correspondent: Sun Hong’an) —On July 16, 2025, the Review and Evaluation Meeting for the third “Nice Gift of Yantai” Collection Event was successfully held at Yantai Golden Gulf Hotel. The purpose of this event is to explore Yantai’s distinctive products, enhance the city’s brand image, and boost its high-quality economic development.

At 8:30 a.m., the review and evaluation meeting officially kicked off. The 47 products from 46 enterprises were presented one after another for roadshows, instantly energizing the on-site atmosphere. Each enterprise representative stepped onto the stage with confidence: some vividly presented the stories behind their products through PowerPoint presentations, some highlighted the unique craftsmanship and excellent quality of their products via physical displays, and others provided in-depth interpretations combined with Yantai’s regional culture. All efforts were made to highlight their products’ strengths to the judges and the audience.

It is reported that to ensure the fairness and impartiality of the event, nine judges were invited to score the shortlisted products from six criteria: regional identity, quality, safety, cultural significance, brand recognition, and portability. Each product started with a base score of 70, with a maximum possible score of 100. Judges’ evaluations accounted for 85% of the total score, while online voting made up the remaining 15%. Based on the final tally, the official list of the third “Nice Gift of Yantai” was determined.
Different from previous sessions, the third “Nice Gift of Yantai” Collection Event introduced a new “Premium Products of Nice Gift of Yantai” award. For the shortlisted products that fail to ultimately win the title of “Nice Gift of Yantai,” the organizing committee will award a special honorary certificate of “Premium Products of Nice Gift of Yantai” to encourage more enterprises to continuously improve the quality and cultural connotation of their products.
