The 3rd Shandong Province National Digital Literacy Enhancement Skills Competition——The Digital Cultural Tourism Creative Design Competition in the Digital Life Track kicked off in Yantai.
On November 23, the 3rd Shandong Province National Digital Literacy Enhancement Skills Competition——The Digital Cultural Tourism Creative Design Competition in the Digital Life Track kicked off in Yantai. The event was jointly hosted by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province, the Shandong Association for Science & Technology and other organizations. The competition was divided into two categories, namely the Staff Group (including teachers) and the Student Group, attracting a total of more than 40 teams from across the province. Teachers and students competing on the same stage, promoting learning and practice through the competition, became one of the highlights of this competition.
The competition consisted of three modules: on-site creation and explanation, on-site commentary, and talent application. Participants were required to conduct on-site creations by utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as VR, AR, AI and blockchain, focusing on Shandong's characteristic cultural and tourism resources, such as its history, culture, famous scenic spots, local specialties, and intangible cultural heritage. The goal was to enhance the digital literacy abilities of cultural and tourism professionals in creative design.
After intense competitions, 13 schools, including Yantai Electronic Industry School, won the first, second and third prizes respectively. Since 2022, the Shandong Province National Digital Literacy Enhancement Skills Competition has been held for three consecutive years, with nearly 50,000 students and 30,000 staff members participating in the competitions. The successful organization of this competition not only fostered the inter-school exchanges among the participating teachers and students, providing a platform for college students to improve their professional skills and comprehensive qualities, but also further demonstrated the characteristics and levels of the schools.
