The "2024 Incoshare Cup Yantai-Pori AI Programming (Pressure Cooker) Contest" Was Held.

From November 28th to 29th, the "2024 Incoshare Cup Yantai-Pori AI Programming (Pressure Cooker) Contest" was held online. Sponsored by the  Foreign Affairs Office of Yantai Municipal People's Government and co-organized by Yantai University, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) in Finland, Shandong Fenya Education Technology Co., Ltd., and IncoShare Information Technology Group Co., Ltd., the competition promoted student involvement in AI innovation practices, facilitated AI-related exchanges between Yantai and Finland, and accelerated the cultivation of professional talent.

The competition focused on the theme of "sustainable development", with topics such as the "OCR recognition of text and its corresponding numerical coding in images" and the "developing an AI-powered logistics tool to optimize product transportation routes". Leveraging the practical application of artificial intelligence technology, the competition required teams to design and develop a high-precision recognition model. Yantai University and Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) each recruited three "elite teams" to participate. After 24 hours of competition, the two teams presented and explained their respective solutions. The judges scored based on each group's understanding of the topics, design, innovation, teamwork, and the quality of their defense. Ultimately, the second team from Yantai University won the championship.

The Yantai-Pori Artificial Intelligence Programming Competition has been held for three consecutive years. The competition has continued to foster the friendly exchange atmosphere between China and Finland, deepened talent exchanges between universities in the two cities, and promoted collaborative cooperation in the fields of industry, academia, and research.
